Walkers
We were delighted to work with the UK’s favourite crisp brand, Walkers, in 2009 by installing an energy reporting system into their Leicester based manufacturing plant – home of the Walkers crisps.
Walkers initially required a system to monitor the energy usage of the 6 compressors throughout the whole of their manufacturing plant which would consequently keep energy consumption to a minimum. These compressors link to various pieces of equipment along the production line.
Using our innovative technologies and expertise, the team were able to install a compressor sequencing solution to the compressed air across their site, which prevents the compressors from turning on and off while controlling the voltage.
This project resulted in the Walker’s compressors working to a 99% efficiency rating, reducing their energy bills by up to 20%.
